Applications
AgriLeno®
PP Leno Bags and Fabric is used to package various commodities like
Vegetables, Fruits, Tea, Pulses, Butter, Cereal and Meat.
With experience of catering to the world largest producer of fruit
and vegetables, Priyadarshini Filaments develops solutions that
address the need for proper handling and packaging of perishable
items like onions and potatoes, ginger, tomatoes, carrots, coconuts,
apples, dates and other vegetables and fruits. This is being well
appreciated not only by growers or consumers but also by the various
merchandising associations, traders and authorities involved in
marketing of agricultural produce.
The packaging material currently being used for domestic consumption
is mostly new/reused jute bags. Rachel netted bags are an alternative
however due its basic construction (knit), it performs well
when packing loads less than 20 kilos under rough handling conditions
and thus find a different segment with respect to leno and jute
bags.
Till date leno bags have already gained wide acceptance in the
developed as well as developing countries, like Sri Lanka substituting
used jute bags and other alternate packing material in loose form.
The plastic raw materials used to make leno bags are Polypropylene
and HDPE. Leno bags can be used to pack onions and potatoes along
with other fruits and vegetables up to 50 kgs capacity (ILO regulations
compliant).
Leno bags will substitute the old jute bags (single use) whenever
transportation involves longer distances since there is wastage
and spillage of onions and potatoes from the stitched areas while
using old jute bags.
Leno bags can be made to pack onions/potatoes with capacities upto
50/60 kgs. |
